UDISE Form 2023-24 – How to Get UDISE Code
Every school across the nation will receive a unique UDISE code, ensuring its distinct identity in UDISE+ records. In the event of a new school establishment, it is imperative to obtain a UDISE code to establish this unique identity. The following steps should be followed:
- The school representative must approach the district MIS officer, equipped with essential documentation, including the school’s recognition letter. This requirement applies to both recognized and unrecognized schools.
- District MIS users will initiate the application for a UDISE code through the “School Directory Management” within the UDISE+ system, and the request will subsequently be forwarded to the state MIS user for approval.
- State MIS users will thoroughly review the application and may seek any necessary clarifications at the district level. The state-level user possesses the ultimate authority to approve the generation of the UDISE code for the school.
- Once the verification process is completed at the state MIS level, the application is then submitted to the Ministry of Education for the generation of the UDISE code. The UDISE code generation process typically requires approximately one week to be finalized.
